• Use a mattress protector. Find one that is waterproof and that prevents mites and bed bugs.
  • Use the right bed frame. Make sure it has a center support.
  • Rotate the mattress head to toe once a month. If the mattress is two-sided, flip and rotate it once a month.
  • Try to avoid sitting on the edge of the mattress. This can weaken the side of your mattress.
  • Avoid using the mattress as a trampoline.
